Born to a mixed Nepalese and British heritage, I feel fortunate to have been exposed to a spectrum of cultural history from a young age. Folklore and mythology were a significant part of my childhood and the use of narrative to bridge cultural, social and generational divides continues to be an underlying motivation in my work.

Originally educated in graphic design and visual communication, I worked as an art director and creative producer in fashion and publishing before training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School as a performance designer. I’ve designed projects spanning dance, theatre, film and interactive entertainment, and believe in a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling. My design expertise encompasses; costume design, set design, art direction and concept design. I firmly believe in investing in young people and am always keen to facilitate and support projects that work to empower and inspire our future society.

  • PETRIe Magazine - Art Direction

Launched in 2012, PETRIe is an independent publication providing a platform for emerging talent. Our aim was to honour transparent, honest dialogue, and prize integrity, celebrating the under-looked, empowering the disenfranchised, and highlighting the inherent beauty of the marginal. During my time with PETRIe I acted as Creative Director and Co-Editor in Chief for the re-launch of their print and digital platforms in 2015, later taking on the role of Managing Editor and Creative Consultant for the print issues of PETRIe 68 and PETRIe 69. Together with the team I managed and commissioned over 150 unique projects, including collaborations with The Major of London, Youth Club Archive, Inspire! EPB and brands such as Christian Dior and Yoji Yamamoto. We particularity championed work with young people and emerging creatives, as well as those from underrepresented communities or challenging socio-economic backgrounds.
