Born to a mixed Nepalese and British heritage, I feel fortunate to have been exposed to a spectrum of cultural history from a young age. Folklore and mythology were a significant part of my childhood and the use of narrative to bridge cultural, social and generational divides continues to be an underlying motivation in my work.
Originally educated in graphic design and visual communication, I worked as an art director and creative producer in fashion and publishing before training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School as a performance designer. I’ve designed projects spanning theatre, film, dance and interactive entertainment and believe in a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling. I am particularly passionate about the value of costume design and work that puts the performer at the heart of the production. I firmly believe in investing in young people and am always keen to facilitate and support projects that work to empower and inspire our future society.
My design expertise encompasses; costume design, set design, prop design and concept illustration. For a full list of my skills please follow the link below.
